Online-go.com rules of conduct

It is very important to us that online-go.com can develop into a large and friendly Go community. As such, we have placed some basic rules to ensure that people can find their experience at the site as pleasurable as possible:

1. You may not discriminate against other players regarding colour, religion or ethnic origin. You may not use profane, threatening or abusive language, nor may you harass or unreasonably rush other players (this includes spamming through personal messages). You may not use pornographic or otherwise visually disturbing images or language in your personal profile.
   
   
2. You may not use usernames that fit into any of the following categories:
   • Profane or sexually explicit
   • Names reserved by copyrights, Intellectual Property patents or other trademarks, or celebrities
   • References to any language that may breach rule "1"
   
   
3. You may not create multiple accounts on online-go.com, nor may multiple people use your account (family members for instance). If there are multiple people in your household that wish to use the site, please ensure that each has his or her own account.
   
   
4. You may not use any software to assist your play within games. You may refer to other games, in either electronic or book form, at any time.
   
   
5. You will not violate any laws or regulations in your country or state, and we will not be held responsible for any action taken against you for doing so.
   
   
6. You may not attempt to break into our servers or databases, or artificially adjust any games and / or ratings outside the scope of the system itself. Any attempt to do so will result in the termination of your account and may result in legal action.
   
   

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any free subscriptions to anyone who breaches any of our rules or conditions on this site.
