OGS is hosted by the non-profit French organization nainwak.org
(mostly in French). They provide help for non-profit web games. You can support them throught the
OGS subscription system.
Go Basic Learning Resources
PlayGo interactive - This is an absolute must for a beginner wishing to
learn some of the simple Go principles
Sensei's Library - The main internet Wiki and everything Go-related. The
following are three of their most useful pages for beginners to learn from:

OGS Resources
OGS Notifier - This is a Windows program which will sit in your system
tray and tell you when it's your turn to move in your games. It is a more functional
replacement for the Game Monitor.

database - An excellent collection of game records with daily updates,
including commented games by A.Dinerchtein (1-dan pro), complete with RSS Feeds
for regular updates

Go Server (DGS) - The longest standing turn based Go site on the net
Kiseido Go
Server (KGS) - A java based real-time go server, with a web client and a
downloadable client (CGoban, see SGF editors)
Internet Go Server (IGS Pandanet) - The original internal Go server, also
real time, with a lot of professional game coverage and teaching sessions from
professional players
It's Your Turn - A site offering a number of correspondence / turn based
games, including Go
Free Internet Correspondence Games Server(FICGS) - Primarily a
correspondence chess site, it also offers Go tournaments
Clients / Programs / SGF Editors
CGoban - This is both an SGF editor and a client for KGS
Panda-glGo - This is both an SGF editor and a client for IGS Pandanet, and
has a number of nice features, including a 3D board view
Igowin - This a basic free 9x9 go playing program, with a progressive
handicap facility to try and make sure that the game stays close. Highly
recommended for beginners to get used to the game
Many Faces of Go - Currently on the fairly new version 11.0, and made by
the same people as Igowin, this is a superb training partner for players from
25 kyu up to about 5 kyu, and costs 90 USD
SmartGo - Another retail piece of software that acts as IGS Pandanet client,
Go opponent, problem library, professional game library (over 38000 games) and
position lookup utility. Retails at 89 USD
MultiGo - A popular and versatile SGF editor that supports multiple formats
of Go game files, and use it to play the free Go engine Gnu Go
